The Zumba Adventure continues…

I had another go on my Zumba Wii game today (Check out my Editor’s Post on Welcome to Wherever for more detail.)  I have to admit that it’s growing on me a little. The Music is bright and bouncy, and while I have two left feet as long as you move around as closely to the moves as possible, it’s fun!

Of course, I’m not just using Zumba to exercise. I walk to and from school at least once a day.

It’s not a long distance, but the hill on the way back makes it hard on the knees, especially in heels…

I am also using the Wii Fit Plus to record my efforts. It’s really rather handy; the board weighs you, tells you your BMI and you can check your posture and balance. It also has a nifty little feature that allows you to record your waist measurement and/or the number of steps you’ve done each day, on the Graphs that the programme generates.

Certainly saves my pen and paper!

Keeping track of what you are doing is an essential part of trying to become fitter / leaner – it helps to motivate you (especially when you see that lovely downward line on the graph) and adds a little structure to your training. The Wii Fit Plus programme includes a way of creating workouts using the games and exercises in the programme.

But I’m not testing that properly this month.

This month is Zumba.
