Adventure awaits you… in Choose or Die!

Once upon a time (don’t all good stories start that way?), young adult readers of the mid-to-late 80s had far more power than they have now.  They had the power to determine the fates of the characters in the books they read.

I was one of those young readers. I revelled in the “Choose your own Adventure” books and read them over, and over again.

So, when a friend, MJ Heiser announced her intention of collaborating with the wonderful Steven Novak  in a website version that paid homage to those wonderful books, I jumped into reading the stories immediately. Written by adults, for adults, the Choose or Die website takes the basic premise of the children’s books and spices it up a little more.

And I was in heaven.

The role-player in me has always said, “But what if they did this?” to every book, especially ones where I am re-reading for the umpteenth time. It’s one of the reasons that I became a writer. Then Steven and I became friends through various different conversations and he invited me to join the Choose or Die team.

I moved directly up the ladder to cloud nine at that point!

I’ve taken part in two stories since then and I’ve had a lot of fun with the chapters, but even more fun with the kill scenes! No, I’m not a psychopath, I just enjoy a challenge.

Anyway, back to the point of this post…

Choose or Die is a great website and I’m thrilled to be a member of the Team. We started a brand new story just recently and I thought you might like to take a look –

This one promises to be just as crazy and fun as the last two. I’ve already written one kill scene and as we have only got to Chapter Three, it would be a good time to catch up!

Follow the link below to get to Chapter One –

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoy writing it!

    1. It’s more fun when there’s more than one person – maybe you ought to ask Steven Novak (the guy who runs Choose or Die) if you can jump in on the next season – we’ve got the line up for this season…

  1. Nice blog here! Also your site loads up fast! What web host are you using? Can I get your affiliate link to your host? I wish my web site loaded up as quickly as yours lol
