“To what?” I hear you cry, “Christmas?”

Um no, actually there are 4 months to that and I’ll thank you not to mention that holiday to me until after my birthday in October.

The thing that I’m counting down to is the start of my favourite festival of writing:

NaNoWriMo

and the reason I am getting excited about it now, is that I don’t actually have a story planned yet. I have a title and a single line to give me an idea. Other than that, I don’t have a single dang thing planned!

The book I will be writing the first draft for,  is Book 4 of “The Secret of Arking Down” and is called: “Daemon’s Will”

The single line I currently have is “Vanya fights her daemonic half, Jeanette for control.”

But other than that, I don’t have a thing, and it’s the most exciting feeling. I have a character that I’ve not written about in detail before, and I don’t know where it’s going to go.

I do have a few things to do before that though.

I’m currently editing the bejesus out of book two of “The Tower and The Eye” and contemplating trying a new genre as well… no, I’m not going to tell you what it is, just that it’s the complete opposite of what I normally write. Keep your eyes open for mentions of  Xandra McLectra in your googling…
